MicroTight® Fittings: Precisie voor Micro- en Nano-LC

Bij het werken met capillaire tubing (met een buitendiameter van minder dan 1/16″) is het minimaliseren van het dode volume cruciaal. MicroTight® Fittings zijn specifiek ontwikkeld om een naadloze en lekvrije verbinding te bieden voor microfluidics en capillaire HPLC-toepassingen.

In tegenstelling tot standaard fittingen, maken MicroTight-systemen vaak gebruik van een speciale gauge-plug methode of MicroTight Sleeves om tubing met een zeer kleine diameter (zoals 360 µm) veilig en nauwkeurig te fixeren in een standaard 10-32 poort.

De MicroTight® Componenten

Om een perfecte verbinding te maken, bestaat het systeem doorgaans uit drie delen:

  1. MicroTight Nut: De schroef die de druk levert.
  2. MicroTight Ferrule: De specifieke kleine ferrule die de tubing afdicht.
  3. MicroTight Tubing Sleeve: Een beschermende huls die over de capillaire tubing wordt geschoven om de diameter te vergroten naar een maat die de ferrule kan grijpen.

Gebruiksaanwijzing & Tips

Ten eerste schuift u de SealTight nut over de tubing, gevolgd door de SealTight ferrule. Vervolgens steekt u de tubing in de poort totdat deze de bodem raakt. Terwijl u de tubing op zijn plek houdt, draait u de schroef handvast aan.

Belangrijk: Voor een optimale afdichting adviseren wij om de bijbehorende SealTight ferrules te gebruiken; deze zijn specifiek gevormd om samen te werken met de interne geometrie van de SealTight nuts.
